Take a leisurely bike ride down New Iberia’s award-winning Main Street as you learn about the centuries old oak trees that adorn our homes. Hear how these oaks began and what we can do
to preserve them. Learn how to estimate the age of an oak tree, without cutting it down. Local arborist, Jim Foret, will enlighten and entertain you with stories and facts that will be equally
astounding.
Bike rentals will be delivered to the Shadows on the Teche Visitors Center for pick up at the start of the ride. If you would like to pick up your bike in Lafayette a few days before the ride then please contact us to make arrangements. After the ride simply drop off your bike at Shadows on the Teche Visitors Center and we will take it from there.
