Readers’ Theater / Courtroom

The Readers’ Theater has been an integral part of the literary festival since the very beginning. In past years the actors have read and acted out beloved books to a live audience. In 2024 the Reader’s Theater was “In the Electric Mist with Confederate Dead” by New Iberia’s celebrated author James Lee Burke. This book has a special meaning to the town due to the fact that the movie was filmed right here in New Iberia. Stay tuned what will be Readers’ Theater for 2025!
