Ethan Brown is the author of four investigative reporting-driven books about crime and criminal justice policy, Murder in the Bayou (Scribner, 2016), Queens Reigns Supreme (Random House, 2005), Snitch (Public Affairs, 2007), and Shake the Devil Off (Henry Holt, 2009). He is currently Editor-in-chief of The Garrison Project, a non-profit news organization housed at Investigative Reporters and Editors addressing the crisis of mass incarceration and policing through investigative reporting and analysis.
About the event:
Ethan will discuss the writing and reporting of his three works on the Jeff Davis 8 case: a longform feature published with Medium in 2014, a book published with Scribner/Simon and Schuster in 2016, and a five part documentary series aired in 2019 on Showtime.
