Swamp Sounds: A Swamp Pop Revival

Saturday, April 11

6:00-9:00 PM

We carry the energy and insight of Swamp Sounds: Echoes of Music and Dance Traditions in Louisiana into an unforgettable evening celebration. Following the presentation moderated by Yvette Landry — with Shane K. Bernard, Herman Fuselier, and photography by Philip Gould — this event brings their stories to life through a showcase inspired by classic swamp pop.

The evening kicks off with Cajun dance lessons led by Britlyn Delahoussaye, followed by a Cajun dance competition, while the Grammy-nominated Revelers provide live music, including a selection of songs in French that honor Louisiana’s rich Francophone heritage.

Food & Drinks
Food trucks will be on site for purchases, and drinks will be available throughout the night.

Support the Festival
All ticket sales support the Books Along the Teche Literary Festival, helping to keep the music, stories, and culture of Louisiana thriving for years to come.

Participants will enjoy Cajun fare and live music.
In the event of inclement weather, the party will be held at Sliman Theater, 129 E. Main St.
