Prose & Pours – Happy Hour
For the first time ever, we’re kicking off the night with a Happy Hour, Prose & Pours, where guests can enjoy cocktails and conversation as festival-goers meet authors, swap stories, and toast to the magic of the written word.

Cooking Demonstration by Marcelle Bienvenu 
This year also marks a special addition to our kickoff event: the cooking demonstration by Marcelle Bienvenu, cookbook author and food writer, which was previously a separately ticketed experience. Now included as part of the evening, guests will get an inside look at her culinary craft before enjoying a beautifully prepared dinner from a celebrated Louisiana chef.

A Night Full of Celebration
A second line led by the Bunk Johnson Brazz Band will keep the Southern spirit moving through the night.
